Wirksworth
26th May 2008
After
a short break to take a few publicity photographs of the new line-up
in Shentalls Gardens the members returned to the awaiting transport
to travel the short journey to Wirksworth (Derbyshire). |
|
Once
again arriving in good time the members donned their uniform again for
the commencement of the afternoon’s engagement participating in the
parade through the village to the carnival field venue. Along
the parade the ‘Musketeers’ entertained the brilliant
turnout along the route with their own inimitable style of dancing and
music to the very responsive crowd. |
|
Later in the show the still
very nervous members, (even the experienced ones) lined up to present
for the first time the extended seventeen and a half minute display
of figure marching and dance numbers to the set programme of music,
which again drew enthusiastic applause from the crowd, swelled with
members watching from several other CBSL bands who were not performing
that day and once again many good compliments and encouraging remarks
were passed. With the activities over, the new united ‘Musketeers’
were able to reflect on their day's achievements in preparation for
the lengthy season ahead.
