Melbourne Fete & Carnival - 9th July 2016

As the members arrived the regular rain storm hit Melbourne with so much force the field became water logged and it took a fleet of Tractors to move the dozen or so of Cars and Vans including the Ice Cream van that was stuck for nearly an hour.

An hours before the start of the parade and the Heavens opened and a torrential downpour ensued but thankfully it stopped at 11:30am, ready for the procession to set off on time and without the rain.

With the band leading the Parade around the streets of Melbourne it was good to see the damp conditions had not stopped the crowds turning out in great numbers.

The Parade weaved around the village before finishing at the Junior school followed by thousands of Villagers all intent in enjoying the day.

Thankfully the rains held off for everyone and the Band managed to perform the Arena Display as part of a fun packed afternoon.
