LET THE BATTLE COMMENCE
Another Double Weekend looming with a trip to Bradwell Carnival and then on to Sutton on Sea
A busy weekend with a trip to the Seaside and a local event in Derby
All focus is on another double weekend with trips to Hornsea Carnival on Saturday and then onto Alvaston Park Derby for Sunday
Next stop is Horsley Woodhouse Carnival. 4 years since our last visit but a place everyone enjoys going.
With another Wet Weekend install it's time to head over to Melbourne Carnival, the Bands first visit in 40 years and the first as the new format.

With a double weekend booked the Members quickly dried out and headed off to Hasland. The Weathermen were right again and following a delayed start the Band managed to perform two shows without getting wet.
With the worst June in History being predicted by the Weathermen, the Band head South to Bilbrook & Codsall Carnival. The day started dry but bang on cue the Rain arrived to dampen the roads but not the spirits.
Spring Bank Monday arrives and with it the traditional Chesterfield Parade of Witness
With the nice weather finally hitting Derbyshire it was our first Official outing with a trip to Hayfield. Having tried for 6 years to book the Band it was finally happening and the Band would travel to Hayfield for the Hayfield May Queen Carnival where the Band would meet up with good friends Bill Weston and the Buxton Billerettes.
The Display is well and truly finished following a long and hard few weeks. A few finishing touches are needed to polish of the Display and add a little Showmanship.
This started with the first Band Camp at Alvaston Park, where a full day was set aside to assemble the display.
With Practice well under way and numerous Bookings coming in 2016 is looking busy.
The first Important date to remember is 2nd April at Alvaston Park where the Band will be spending a Full Day in a Final Rehearsal for the 2016 Display.
Following a little Busking around Alfreton the members all look forward to the Christmas Social Event which this year is an Evening Ten Pin Bowling. The 2016 Diary is filling up nicely with the latest Enquiry is for the Band to partake in its 11th visit to the Island of Jersey for the Battle of Flowers 2016
Enquiries are still coming in for 2016 and the AGM gives an early indication of a fun and busy season.
With a short break the members all head for their Annual Holidays before settling down for some long night learning new tunes and Dances for 2016.
