Hasland Gala 13th June 2010

Meeting up at Eastwood Park Hasland for the third year to commence setting up the bands fund raising stall on the well set out park area. Overcast but dry at the opening of the event, as the Musketeers were requested to lead the newly organised flotsam of Carnival Royalty onto the field from midday with the crowd building up. After a few tunes and a couple of circuits of the arena accomplished whilst the Queens and Princesses made their entrance into the prepared area reserved for them to be judged.

Shortly after and the members were changed and enjoying the freedom of the show, whilst the working committee endeavoured to raise the much needed Jersey funds behind the stall and with this being a local event it gave them the opportunity to push sales of the two books outlining the organisations history since formation from the gazebo stand.

With a good crowd forming the Musketeers were duly introduced by the compere into the arena to commence their 2:00. 16 minute display to the enthusiastic audience. Their programme completed members were soon back at the cars changing out of uniform and able to continue their walk around the multitude of stalls and attractions before departing in their cars for home, having completed a good weekend of entertaining. And shortly afterwards the threatening dark clouds opened to put a damper on the afternoon and bringing a premature close to events at Eastwood Park Hasland for another year.
